CURRENT PROJECTS:
Navajo Pastors Outreach - September 2009
Operation Native Christmas Child Nov. - Dec 2009
Operation Native Christmas Child was started when we enlisted a few churches and organizations to collect “shoe-box”
presents for needy Native American kids. Over 1,200 shoe boxes were donated last year and we had the great privilege
of delivering many of these presents ourselves to some kids who otherwise would not have received anything for
Christmas. In keeping with our mission, we went through local native pastors and leaders to deliver the presents. Not
only were the kids blessed but it empowered the pastors to reach into the non-Christian segments of their communities.
YOU CAN HELP! If you, your church or organization want to help in this effort just give me a call at 720-840-5988. You
are also invited to help deliver these presents in December. If you want a special blessing this Christmas - delivering
shoe boxes is a wonderful way to focus on what Christmas really means!

Christian Camp Facility and Community Center - Mission, SD - Long Term
Arise! is helping our friend Pastor Gabriel Medicine Eagle to achieve his vision of a place to hold his annual Sioux
Youth Camp (last year there were almost 700 attendees) that reaches out to the youth of the Rosebud Sioux
Reservation. Gabe has held this camp each year for the past 13 years and it is outgrowing it's present facility at a local
tribal park.
Gabe's vision also includes a center where all the entire Rosebud community can access facilities such as an indoor
basketball court, multi-purpose event facility, training and equipping classes and a small café serving local foods at a
reasonable price. YOU CAN HELP! We need builders, construction workers, planners, restaurant professionals,
camping professionals, etc.
This conference is all about equipping the pastors in Navajoland and also about making relationships with as many
pastors as we can. Initially we were focusing on early September to hold the meeting but venue issues prevented us
from getting a firm date. The conference will be held in Ship Rock, NM and we expect over 200 Navajo Pastors to
attend. Please call Arise! for further information.

existed. We are counting on the Lord for this project so please contact Max ay 720-840-5988 for details!
