Summer 2010: Many of the houses on the reservations are infested with roaches. One of our ministries is to spray roach killer in homes that desire this service. In 2010 we were spraying a house that was very badly infested and found that a 14 year old girl was living in a room that had both roaches and bed bugs. We sprayed the room and then returned to our base camp and told several of the ladies that were on the trip about the conditions in the girl's room. These ladies then took control and went into the room and cleaned it from top to bottom! The mattress that the girl was sleeping on was infested beyond the ability of the spray to help so two of the team proceeded to drive 150 miles round trip to the closest place to get a new mattress and installed in the girl's room.  This young girl made a re-commitment to Christ because of these actions and now is in relationship with some of the team members! Sometimes a simple act of God's love through us can and does change lives!
